AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING

Youth volunteers include Volunteer Mobile’s Impact Club, students from UMS-Wright Preparatory School, St. Paul’s Episcopal School, Alabama School of Math and Science, church youth groups, students from Springhill College and the University of South Alabama and other organizations.

VOLUNTEERING WITHIN THE CRICHTON COMMUNITY

During the Spring and Summer months, students and church youth groups come from all over the United States to volunteer their summer vacation repairing and painting houses for the elderly in the Crichton neighborhood.

The Junior League also sponsors the popular “Super Saturdays” held at DWCC. Super Saturdays provide the opportunity for the children and youth at DWCC to attend cultural events including musicals, play and art exhibits
