One of our most beloved events is Dumas Wesley’s Annual Christmas Toy Store. Last year, Dumas Wesley Community Center held its annual Toy Store, supporting 137 underserved youth from the community. Local merchants, churches, schools, and individuals supported the Toy Store by donating new toys and bikes. The event allows parents to purchase gifts at a fraction of their retail value, with proceeds supporting Dumas Wesley’s After School Achievement Program.

Event Date: Saturday, December 12th, 2026

Registration Dates: Monday, October 19 – Friday, November 13, 2026
Submit application and documents to the administrative office located at 126 Mobile Street. Monday – Friday 9:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Children must be between the ages of 0-12 years of age
• Priority is given to the households residing in the 36607/36617 zip codes with eligible children living in the home
• Families living outside of the 36607/36617 zip codes may be served on a first-come, first-served basis, as space permits
• Applicant must be the guardian or parent of the children. Proof of guardianship is required for any child for whom the applicant is not the biological or adoptive parent
• You must not be participating in the Angel Tree Program. The Salvation Army will be notified of our participant list; if you are already receiving their assistance, your application will be voided
• This is not a free event. Cash is required for payment

Registration Information: Submit a completed application along with all required documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Participation in previous years and submission of an application do not guarantee acceptance into the Toy Store. Applicants will not be considered for a spot until all required documentation has been received by Friday, November 13th, 2026:

• Completed application
• Proof of Income: TANF or SSI award letters, disability stubs, pay stub, etc.
• Proof of residence: Must be a current utility bill (light, gas, water), or lease in your name. We cannot accept a bill in someone else’s name.
• Copy of birth certificate for each child participating even if the child participated in previous years.
• Copy of guardianship documentation for the child/children in your custody, if applicable
• Photo ID
