COVID-19 Update: In accordance with our policies, and in the interest of our participants’ safety, the Senior Activities for Independent Living Program is currently offering remote programming. Dumas Wesley is delivering homebound meals to 85 seniors five days a week and providing wellness checks for participants isolating at home. Dumas Wesley Community Center is operating under the guidance of the Mobile County Health Department; requirements may change in accordance with MCHD recommendations.

The Dumas Wesley Senior Activities for Independent Living (S.A.I.L.) program provides daily activities for seniors 60 and older Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The program serves an average of 85 seniors daily. A hot, nutritious meal is served to seniors at the center as well as homebound meals to seniors in the Crichton and Toulminville area. Participants enjoy a variety of activities including: games, nutrition education, guest speakers, wellness checks, exercise and computer classes. Transportation is provided for SAIL participants to vital services such as the bank and pharmacy, local shopping and health and wellness events.
